I am a tutor who is passionate about engineering. I most enjoy tutoring mechanical engineering and engineering dynamics, but I'm also available to tutor pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, middle school math, and statistics. I received my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering before continuing on to the University of Florida, where I am studying control system engineering. I am now serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Florida, working with students on mechanical dynamics and HVAC systems design. I enjoy tutoring engineering because I've found that the subject demands students to use their imagination. I think that studying engineering is a great way to develop your critical thinking skills and foster new perspectives. I truly love to teach, and I'm excited to help students grow as learners. As a tutor I don't just hand the answers to my students, I instead help them discover the answers on their own so that in the future they will be able to be successful without my assistance. I liken my teaching philosophy to the Chinese proverb about teaching a man to fish rather than just giving the man a fish. When I'm not studying engineering or tutoring, I enjoy playing sports like soccer and basketball. I also make YouTube videos of me replicating various electronics.
