I am a very experienced tutor, and have worked as a private tutor for 15 years. My background allows me to tutor a wide variety of subjects. I earned a Physician Assistant degree and a science teaching certification, and I am capable of tutoring students in science disciplines such as anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and biochemistry. I can also tutor any level of Spanish, as I am fluent in the language and have made several trips to Spain.As a tutor, it is important for me to build a relationship with my students. I enjoy listening to students describe their academic goals and non-academic interests. I take the time to understand the individual learning needs of each student. In order to make learning as relevant as possible, I love to find examples from everyday life to illustrate the concepts that we are working on. To ensure that the student has a strong understanding of the material, I ask the students to become the teacher and explain the ideas to me. I do not want my students to feel anxiety before assessments or to feel embarrassed over forgotten materials.In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis and chess.
